Panthers Struggle on the Road in 7–1 Loss to Trent Hills Thunder

TRENT HILL, ON – The Port Hope Panthers faced a tough outing on the road against the Trent Hills Thunder Sunday afternoon, falling 7–1 in a game where they struggled to find any momentum.

Trent Hills jumped out to an early lead in the first period, scoring twice within 13 seconds. Owen Ellis opened the scoring at 14:14, assisted by Isaac Krentz and Brody Brooks, followed immediately by Keegan Juchau at 14:27, putting the Panthers in an early hole.

The Thunder continued their dominance in the second period with four more goals. Drax Moran scored at 2:35, Russell Duguay at 8:04, Coulter Trudeau at 17:37, and Carter Rightmeyer at 18:43, showcasing Trent Hills’ depth and precision in finishing.

In the third, Reese Kleinsteuber added another marker for the Thunder at 16:51 before Port Hope finally got on the board with Kaden King scoring at 18:45, his first of the season, assisted by Dylan Waduck, providing a small bright spot in an otherwise challenging night.

The game also featured numerous penalty incidents, including multiple misconducts and fighting majors, reflecting the intensity and physicality of the matchup. Despite the penalties and discipline issues on both sides, Trent Hills maintained control throughout the night.

Port Hope returns home on Saturday when they welcome Picton to Jack Burger for their annual Tammies Jammies night. Puck drop is 7:30 PM.
