Port Hope to Launch QR Code Application for Contact Tracing

The Municipality of Port Hope is ready to launch their new QR Code application on Monday, October 4, 2021.  This QR Code will record the person/persons/families coming into the facility, their phone number and ask them  screening questions so that they may enter the building safely.  Users will receive a Green check mark once completed and their name and phone number will be kept in a secure data base.  The new program covers the mandated contact tracing and active screening questions that are currently required, and should help speed up entry for fans attending Port Hope Panthers home games.

For anyone who in unable to use the QR code system, or who does not have access to a cell phone, employees will have a tablet on site to check in on the same system without the use of paper.

The Municipality of Port Hope will continue to have a staff person at the door to check ID, vaccine passports and the check in tool until the Government of Ontario no longer requires this step.

The Panthers and Municipality would like the thank you for your assistance through Step 3 of the re-opening and your patience as we get systems into place to follow all the protocols required for us to play hockey in front of all of our amazing fans.  We will continue to communicate with you as things change and updates happen.
