PANTHERS MAKE BENCH CHANGE – WELCOME COREY BEER AS PRESIDENT AND HEAD COACH

PORT HOPE, ON – Today the Panthers announced changes to their bench staff as they welcomed new Head Coach Corey Beer to the team.

Corey, a native of Oshawa, brings with him over 10 years of experience behind the bench. Most recently as Head Coach of Okanagan Hockey Ontario, where he coached Panthers’ Alumni Carter Chadwick. Prior to his time at OHO, Beer spent four (4) seasons as the Head Coach of the Timmins Rock in the NOJHL.

No stranger to the Northumberland community, Corey was an Assistant Coach with the Cobourg Cougars for five (5) season, winning the RBC Cup with the team in 2017.

On the International stage, Corey has has success at the World Junior A Challenge as an Assistant Coach for Team Canada East in 2018 and 2019, winning a silver medal in 2019.

With this announcement, Andrew Rhynold will move into an Assistant Coach role.
